About M David Smith
I’m M David Smith, a self-taught guitarist and flow state instrumental composer. My music moves from intimate acoustic pieces to soaring harmonized leads and heavier guitar work, with melody and emotion at its heart. Through the MDS Legacy Recovery Project, I’m restoring original recordings from 1991–2023 and sharing the stories they still carry. Each piece captures a moment in my life—love, loss, hope, remembrance—and says what I couldn’t always put into words.
