Terms of Service
The rules for using SpinQueue: who can join, what you promise about the music you send, how paid entries and credits work, and how we handle accounts.
Under review. Beta Legal Notice: These Terms describe the current SpinQueue public beta and may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes will require renewed acceptance where applicable.
1. Who we are and what SpinQueue does
SpinQueue is a platform where Creators run live music review sessions and Artists submit music to be reviewed in a visible, ordered queue.
SpinQueue does not broadcast video. Creators stream on their own external platform and link to it from SpinQueue. We host the account, the profile, the schedule, the queue, the submissions and the payments around that stream.
SpinQueue is operated from the United States and these terms are written on a United States basis.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be 18 or older to use SpinQueue. There is no version of the service for people under 18.
Eligible people can create an Artist account, a Creator (host) account, or both, subject to the onboarding and account requirements that apply at the time. Creator hosting has additional onboarding requirements, and some Creator features — payouts in particular — require completing further verification before they can be used.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, for keeping your sign-in details secure, and for the accuracy of the information on your profile.
Using one account as both an Artist and a Creator is normal and allowed. What is not allowed is creating or using additional or duplicate accounts to manipulate SpinQueue's systems — for example to claim referral credit or rewards you did not earn, to gain extra or cheaper queue entries, to influence Song War outcomes, to evade a block, restriction or suspension, or to misrepresent who you are. Accounts used that way can have entries, rewards and commissions removed and can be restricted or closed.
3. Your music, your rights, and what you declare
You keep ownership of your music. Nothing here transfers ownership of your work to SpinQueue or to a Creator.
Every submission requires you to declare that you hold or control the rights needed for that track to be played and discussed in a live review session, and to disclose how the track was created, including any use of AI.
SpinQueue collects that declaration from you. We do not clear, verify, license or approve rights on your behalf. The declaration is yours and you are responsible for its accuracy.
SpinQueue may use automated screening tools — for example reference-catalog matching or AI-related checks — where those tools are enabled for a given session or release. Automated screening produces advisory signals only. It does not clear copyright, grant a licence, determine ownership, or replace your responsibility for an accurate rights and creation declaration. Where screening is not enabled, your declaration applies in full and unchanged.
By submitting, you give the Creator you submitted to permission to play and publicly discuss that track during their session, and you give SpinQueue permission to display the track information you provided on the relevant SpinQueue pages.
If you cannot honestly make the rights declaration, do not submit the track.
4. Queues, entries and priority
Queue order is determined by SpinQueue's servers, not by your browser and not by a Creator's preference in the moment. SpinQueue shows you the queue information and position available to you through the service for that session; what is visible can differ depending on your role, the session's settings and where you are viewing it.
Depending on what the Creator has enabled, a session may accept free entries, paid priority entries, Golden Tickets, Reward Passes and prepaid credits. Which of these is available is always shown on the session before you enter.
Paying for priority buys a position in the queue. It does not buy a promise about the length, tone, score or outcome of a review, and it does not oblige the Creator to like the track.
A Creator may run out of time, end a session early, cancel a session or be unable to reach every entry. Where you paid for an entry that was not reached, the refund rules below apply.
Attempting to manipulate queue order, eligibility or rewards through automation, duplicate accounts or any other means will result in entries being removed and may result in restriction of your account.
5. Payments, fees and Creator earnings
Payments are processed by Stripe. SpinQueue does not store your full card details. Your payment is only treated as complete when Stripe confirms it — never on the basis of a redirect or a message on screen.
Prices are shown to you in full before you pay, in the currency stated at checkout. Where a payment processing charge applies, it is added on top of the listed price and shown to you as a separate line before you pay. The total you are shown is the total that is charged.
SpinQueue retains a platform fee from the listed price of payments made through the service, and the Creator receives the remainder of that price as their earnings. Where the Creator was referred through the Creator Affiliate Program, the affiliate's share is taken from the referred Creator's portion of that same price — it is not added to what you pay, and it is not taken from SpinQueue's platform fee. A referred Creator therefore earns less per sale than an unreferred Creator by exactly the affiliate share. The current rates are shown on the pricing page and in the Creator's earnings, which itemise the platform fee, any affiliate share and any processing amount for every payment.
Payment processing charges are not SpinQueue revenue and are not part of that split. They are collected to cover Stripe's processing cost, which is settled within the Creator's connected Stripe account.
Creators are paid out through Stripe and must complete Stripe's requirements before payouts can be made. SpinQueue does not control Stripe's identity, tax or payout timing requirements.
Creators are responsible for their own taxes on what they earn.
6. Creator Offers, Bundles and credits
Creators can sell Offers — for example an off-live reaction or a deeper review — and can sell Bundles, which are prepaid packs of credits for one of their Offers at a discount.
Creators are responsible for delivering the Offers they sell and for honouring outstanding valid prepaid Bundle credits according to the terms shown at the point of sale. SpinQueue provides the platform, the payment handling and the record of what was bought; the review, reaction or other service itself is provided by the Creator. Where a Creator cannot or does not fulfil an Offer or an outstanding credit, it is resolved through SpinQueue's cancellation and refund resolution process against the specific purchase involved.
Credits work as follows:
- Credits are specific to the Creator and the Offer they were bought for. They cannot be moved to another Creator, another Offer or another account.
- The terms of a credit — what it is worth and what it can be used for — are frozen at the moment of purchase and do not change afterwards.
- Credits expire twelve months after purchase unless stated otherwise at the point of sale.
- Once any credit in a purchase has been used, that purchase is no longer self-service refundable. Anything after that is handled case by case by the Creator or SpinQueue support.
If a Creator can no longer fulfil credits you have bought, email support@spinqueue.com with the reference shown on your order and we will resolve it against that specific purchase.
7. Refunds, cancellations and disputes
If you paid for an entry and the session was cancelled, or your paid entry was never reached, you can request a refund from your submission or order.
Refunds are assessed against what actually happened in the session, as recorded by SpinQueue, and are issued back to the original payment method through Stripe.
A review you did not enjoy, disagree with, or that was shorter than you hoped is not by itself grounds for a refund. Honest critical feedback is the product.
Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting SpinQueue makes the situation slower to resolve for everyone. Please email support@spinqueue.com first.
Where a refund is issued, any affiliate commission and Creator earnings associated with that payment are reversed proportionally.
8. Conduct, moderation and messaging
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse anyone on SpinQueue, and do not submit content that is illegal, hateful or that you have no right to submit.
Messaging on SpinQueue is relationship-based. You can message someone when there is a real relationship between you — a completed review, a purchase, or a mutual follow. There is no open directory for cold messaging.
You can block another account at any time. A block overrides any messaging relationship.
We can remove content, restrict features, suspend or close an account where these terms are broken. Where an account is restricted, the reason and any appeal path are shown to the account holder.
Reports you make are reviewed by SpinQueue. Reporting in bad faith is itself a breach of these terms.
9. Reviews and feedback
Feedback a Creator sends you is theirs. It is their opinion of your track, given in the session, and it is not a professional assessment or a guarantee of anything.
Creators can keep private notes on a review. Private notes are not shown to the Artist and are not published.
Review text is only published publicly where consent for that has been given.
10. Deactivation, deletion and what happens to what you bought
You can deactivate your account from Settings. While an account is inactive, it is not visible publicly and cannot be used.
Deactivating does not cancel, refund, extend, transfer or remove credits you have already bought, and does not change how Reward Passes work. Those keep their original terms. While the account is inactive you simply cannot use them; if you reactivate, anything still valid becomes usable again on its original terms and original expiry.
You can request account deletion from Settings. Records we are required to keep — payment and accounting records in particular — are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may close an account that has breached these terms. Where money is involved, outstanding obligations are resolved against the specific payments they belong to.
11. Availability
SpinQueue is a live product in active development. Features can change, and sessions depend on external streaming platforms and on payment and infrastructure providers we do not control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
12. Liability
SpinQueue provides the platform. We are not a party to the review itself, we do not guarantee any outcome, audience, exposure or opinion, and we are not responsible for what a Creator or an Artist says or does.
To the fullest extent the law allows, SpinQueue is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid through SpinQueue in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
